STELNO
STELNO
Table lamp from March 2021
Stelno is a table lamp made in the project Lighting design. The purpose of this lamp is to give out a sharp and concentrated light for working matters, but also to give a cozy atmosphere throughout the small holes at the front of the lamp. The head of the lamp tilts, which makes it easy to change direction of the light. With two light bulbs, the consumer can choose to switch on one or both ends of the lamp depending on the requested need.
Taking inspiration in the Verner Panton universe, Stelno is experimenting with bold colors and shape. It was important for me to make a lamp that gives a powerful feeling, and lights up a room with more than the bulbs, but with its´ characteristic features.
As a table lamp, Stelno brings the option of more expressions. The holes can bring out a cozy atmosphere and playfulness. Turning the back to the front, on the other hand, gives a clean and more industrial look. The two lightbulbs also have different purposes, which also affects the design expression. If you need the lamp for working matters, you would choose to switch on one light bulb to bring out a concentrated light. Turning on both light bulbs, the lamp becomes a light installation, which brings out a whole other scene.
Depending on which room Stelno is placed in or what feeling you wish for, you can change the expression of the lamp with a simple rotation or switching on one or both light bulbs.
